Description
Hailing from Lanplate in the Ilustant Star System, Mardal arrived exiled on the medieval world Arst within the Crescent Galaxy. His core mission centered on resurrecting ancient Bionium-forged war machines—the Panzer Warriors—to spearhead Arst’s invasion. He shattered House Volder’s kingdom during Prince Jordy’s birth, killing King Jordy and capturing Queen Felia. He imprisoned her in conscious crystalline stasis as a trophy, aware yet immobilized.
Conquering Arst was merely a stepping stone toward dominating the Crescent Galaxy and reclaiming Lanplate. Mardal orchestrated his campaign through elite commanders: Royal Guard leader Hy Shaltat as his enforcer, and General Zaba. Tensions simmered between Hy and Zaba, whose ambition to rule only Arst sparked later rebellion within Mardal’s ranks.
Bald and often bearded, Mardal embodied ruthlessness through planetary subjugation and psychological torment. Yet his motives held complexity: he despised the galaxy-spanning Advanced Civilizations Union and its enforced peace via non-interference edicts and planet-destroying "Erasers." He saw the Union’s tranquility as stagnant apathy, especially among Lanplate’s detached populace. Invading Arst and inciting galactic war aimed to shatter this false calm.
A pivotal strike came when the Union obliterated Lanplate with an Eraser, halting Mardal’s rebellion and annihilating his homeworld. Confronted by this loss and his shattered ambitions, Mardal abandoned hostilities. He freed his forces and retreated to his remaining people. Ultimately, he overthrew the Union’s regime with loyal commanders. In the aftermath, he relinquished control of the successor state to an adult Jordy as rightful heir, securing a pardon for his past deeds.
