Description
As BABEL Headquarters' technical chief, Momotarou maintains and develops the organization's advanced equipment, including the critical limiter devices regulating esper powers. His expertise stems from his Level 4 technopathy, enabling direct interface and control over electronic systems.
He shares a distinct professional rivalry with fellow technologically adept esper Takashi Kugutsu, marked by frequent technical competitions and clashes over their differing engineering and system design philosophies. Despite his technical focus, Momotarou occasionally bears the ironic nickname "Muscle Otoko" (Muscle Man).
In one incident (episode 21), Kaoru Akashi blackmailed Momotarou into building a life-sized robotic replica after catching him discreetly gathering intelligence; he complied under threat of exposure, though Kaoru later shifted blame onto him when her plans were discovered.
Beyond his core technical duties, Momotarou engages in casual interactions with others, such as playing a two-player video game with Kyousuke Hyoubu in episode 31.
