Description
Wigglytuff, titled "Great Bluff," commands Wigglytuff's Guild as its Guildmaster, operating a premier exploration team training facility. His origins trace to an Igglybuff hailed as an exploration prodigy. In Murky Forest, he forged an unlikely bond with an outlaw Armaldo, who reluctantly became his mentor. Their partnership ignited when Igglybuff unraveled Armaldo's treasure map by burning it, exposing hidden directions to Eastern Cave. There, they uncovered a Defend Globe enhancing Bug-type abilities—later gifted by Armaldo to Igglybuff as a farewell token before arrest for past crimes. This globe endures as his lifelong keepsake.

Evolved and formidable, he joined the legendary Master Rank rescue squad Team Charm. During a Southern Jungle expedition, thieves stole his food, causing him to collapse from starvation. Revived by Team Charm's Perfect Apple, he developed an eternal obsession with the fruit. He aided them against Ditto's illusions in Limestone Cavern to safeguard a Time Gear, temporarily embedding himself in their missions for additional Perfect Apples.

Establishing Wigglytuff's Guild in Treasure Town, he appointed Chatot as his deputy. Their joint explorations revealed secrets in Waterfall Cave and Brine Cave. When Kabutops and Omastar ambushed them in Brine Cave, Chatot shielded him. Wigglytuff reciprocated by securing medical aid from Lapras, pledging to ignore a cryptic wall pattern there.

As Guildmaster, he welcomes new teams—including the player and partner—and supervises operations like morning briefings, though he frequently naps through them. His cheerful, naive manner leads him to address everyone as "friend," inviting underestimation from groups like Team Skull. Yet he harbors a volcanic temper, especially concerning Perfect Apples; guild members dread his daily eruption if deprived. Despite childlike quirks, his combat prowess proves overwhelming. He crushed Team Skull single-handedly after their robbery attempt, remaining unfazed by their "Noxious Gas Combo."

For the Fogbound Lake quest, he permitted all guild members to join, valuing enjoyment over efficiency. After Uxie unveiled the Time Gear there, he swore to conceal its location. When Dusknoir later probed, he protected the secret by falsely declaring the mission a failure. Spotting a pattern on the partner's Relic Fragment, he prioritized investigating the Hidden Land to avert temporal collapse, breaching his vow to Lapras.

In Brine Cave, he aided the player and partner by evacuating Chatot—who again shielded allies from Kabutops' faction, echoing their history. Post-crisis, he orchestrated the guild's graduation trial. Disguised as "the grand master of all things bad" at Luminous Spring, he challenged apprentices to seize his Perfect Apple "treasure" for graduation.

Later, he sporadically loses himself in dungeons, necessitating rescues by allied teams, yet maintains his Guildmaster duties. His enduring camaraderie with Chatot reflects their shared legacy of exploration and mutual defense.
