Description
Coco, also known as Kōji Kokoda in human form, is a fox-like fairy from the Palmier Kingdom who can shift between his anthropomorphic and human forms at will. His fairy appearance showcases beige fur, a salmon-red tuft atop his head, round blue eyes framed by black lashes, and a fluffy tail, with speech often punctuated by his signature “~coco.” As Kokoda Kouji, his human guise presents a tall figure with short brown hair, dressed initially in casual white shirts and blue trousers before adopting a refined adult style—a dodger blue shirt layered under a white jacket.

A prince of the Palmier Kingdom, Coco flees to the human world following Nightmare’s invasion, determined to reclaim the Dream Collet and gather Pinkies to liberate his kingdom and rescue his childhood friend Nuts, imprisoned within the Collet. Disguised as a teacher at L'École des Cinq Lumières, he mentors the Pretty Cure team, guiding their quest while maintaining a composed, wise demeanor. His bond with Yumehara Nozomi evolves from trusted partnership to mutual romantic affection. Though duty as a ruler initially delays his emotions, he later confesses his love, culminating in marriage during *Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~*, where he balances kingship with life alongside Nozomi.

In *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*, Coco ascends as Palmier Kingdom’s official king, wielding the crown’s power to summon Cure Fleurets. Haunted by guilt over embroiling the Pretty Cure in battles against Eternal, he grapples with protecting their safety while longing to preserve their peace. Tensions surface in his interactions with Syrup, a mailboy fairy, over past misunderstandings, yet he steadfastly aids allies like the Donuts Kingdom during resource shortages.

Throughout *Kibou no Chikara*, royal duties restrict Coco’s visits to Nozomi, though he secretly watches over her before relocating to Earth to stand by her side. His protective instincts flare when confronting threats like Bell’s dimension, relying on Nozomi’s strength as Cure Dream. Their marriage symbolizes a bridge between worlds, with Coco advancing diplomacy while nurturing their relationship.

Coco’s character melds compassion, steadfast loyalty, and occasional sternness when confronting injustice. His bond with Nuts shifts from strained silence after past betrayals to reconciliation, while his rejection of Princess Crepe’s arranged engagement underscores his devotion to Nozomi. Across his journey, he embodies a leader navigating duty and heart, forging harmony through resilience and trust.
