Description
Bunbee began as a mid-level Nightmare manager, overseeing Girinma, Gamao, and Arachnea in missions to secure the Dream Collet. He enforced strict demands on his team while privately harboring fear and resentment towards his superior, Kawarino. His human guise featured slicked-back blond hair, a dark gray suit, red shirt, and olive tie, while his true form manifested as a muscular humanoid bee with vibrant red and yellow-gold segmented armor, multifaceted eyes, wing-like appendages, and pointed boots.
Following repeated mission failures and the loss of subordinates, Nightmare demoted Bunbee to menial tasks. His dissatisfaction culminated in refusing to sacrifice new subordinates, prompting Kawarino to attempt his execution by throwing him from headquarters. Bunbee survived only by recalling his ability to fly and escaped.
He later joined the Eternal organization but occupied a low rank, relegated to serving tea and writing reports. His efforts to gain recognition were ignored by superiors like Anacondy, deepening his despair. During this period, he formed an unexpected friendship with fellow member Scorp, despite initially mocking him. Witnessing Eternal's disposal of loyal members like Mucardia and Anacondy solidified his disillusionment with villainy. He ultimately aided the Pretty Cure team by revealing secret entrances to Eternal's collection, enabling their victory.
After Eternal's defeat, Bunbee established a handyman business named Bunbee Company in the human world. He briefly worked for Criasu Corporation but quit over exploitative conditions, nearly starving before rescue by individuals connected to Pretty Cure. He provided information on their enemies before departing.
Years later, employed by a building management company inspecting properties, Bunbee encountered Shadows—monsters born from human despair—and initially avoided involvement. After Cure Dream saved him during a Shadow attack, he expressed admiration for her respectful treatment. He later encouraged townspeople to cultivate hope beyond relying solely on Pretty Cure and participated in community service post-conflict.
A recurring trait is his lapse in remembering his flight ability during peril. Post-villainy, he maintained occasional, often opportunistic or clumsy, interactions with former adversaries and allies.
