TV-Series
Description
Urara Kasugano transfers to L'École des Cinq Lumières as a reserved first-year student during the original series, aged 13-14, advancing to 14-15 in the sequel. Half-Japanese through her mother and half-French through her father, she initially struggles to form genuine connections and express her true self. This stems from her aspiration to become an actress like her late mother, a renowned actress, fostering a mature yet isolated demeanor before becoming a Pretty Cure.

Receiving a Pinky Catch transforms her into Cure Lemonade, the Pretty Cure of Effervescence. She wields the power of light, declaring "The effervescent scent of bursting lemon, Cure Lemonade!" with yellow as her theme color. Her combat abilities focus on light, unleashing energy projectiles and projecting barriers. In the GoGo! season, she and the team gain enhanced powers via a red rose, unlocking upgraded forms like Super Cure and Rainbow Cure.

Her character development across both seasons centers on overcoming loneliness and learning to express true emotions. She forms a close bond with Syrup, a fairy mailboy who transforms into a human and giant bird, mirroring other team-fairy bonds; this relationship supports her growth towards authenticity.

The sequel series Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~ depicts her adult life, continuing her connection to the Pretty Cure legacy alongside her teammates.

Her media appearances include the original Yes! Pretty Cure 5 series, collecting Pinkies to restore Palmier Kingdom and defeat Nightmare; the sequel Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!, battling the Eternal organization to protect Cure Rose Garden; the movie Yes! Pretty Cure 5: Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibouken! involving a mirror kingdom; the GoGo! film Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!: Okashi no Kuni no Happy Birthday! set in a sweets-themed world; and the spin-off Kibou no Chikara focusing on the characters as adults.

Key traits include her initial polite speech patterns becoming more relaxed with friends, a consistently graceful and refined civilian demeanor, and perseverance in both acting pursuits and combat. Her journey consistently emphasizes self-acceptance and finding the courage to show vulnerability.
