Description
Kyoko Asechi heads the talent agency Pretty Top as a former Prism Queen. Her management style is strict and thrifty, constantly emphasizing the competitive realities of the Prism Star world and demanding excellence from her protégés. Despite this focus on financial efficiency, she operates with integrity, refusing underhanded tactics against rivals. This principle was clear in her youth when she expressed outrage upon discovering the sabotage of rival Sonata Kanzaki's performance outfit. Her blunt demeanor contributed to romantic difficulties, including a fiancé abandoning her at the altar.
As a child, Kyoko admired her father, Kintaro Asechi, designer of the Symphonia series, unaware he secured her early Prism Show victories by bribing competitors to withdraw. When he arranged Sonata's outfit sabotage to ensure her win, Kyoko publicly confronted the perpetrators. Her parents later divorced due to Kintaro's Symphonia obsession. Kyoko resented her mother, Kei, for preventing her from living with her father and felt abandoned when he failed to return as promised. Kei then relentlessly trained Kyoko in Prism Shows, prioritizing perfection over enjoyment. This resulted in Kyoko winning the Prism Queen title without happiness or smiles, motivating Sonata to become her rival to revive her passion.
Years later, Kyoko co-founded Pretty Top with her assistant, Jun Takigawa. Initially believing Jun to be her half-brother due to his adoption by Kei after his biological parents died in a car accident, she later discovered through her father's journal they shared no blood relation. Jun concealed the truth about Kintaro's manipulations to protect her, though she eventually learned the full extent. During a crisis involving Aira Harune's manipulation by the Symphonia Corporation, Jun steadied Kyoko as she wavered on deploying Prizmmy and PURETTY, vowing to protect her. After resolving the Road to Symphonia event, Jun proposed to Kyoko during Hibiki Toudou and Rizumu Amamiya's wedding. She accepted, and they visited his biological parents' grave to report their marriage, concluding with them standing together holding white roses.
