Description
Norainu Chissoku, known as Strangled Stray Dog, functions as Mikoto Kondō's Messenger. This Entrails Animal takes the form of a stuffed dog depicting death by strangulation, featuring a visible noose around its neck and protruding intestines from its abdomen. Its design adheres to the Entrails Animals series, characterized by visceral and morbid aesthetics reflecting various death methods.
The character debuted non-awakened in Episode 5 during a school carnival, where Mikoto discovered and collected it. It awakened fully as a speaking Messenger in Episode 6, coinciding with Mikoto’s realization about Natsuru Senō’s dual forms and her induction as a Red Kämpfer.
Contrasting with more adversarial Messenger relationships, its dynamic with Mikoto remains non-violent and cooperative. Norainu Chissoku communicates in soft, subdued whispers, occasionally quoting phrases like "Ippen shinde miru?" without reflecting its typical demeanor. Its primary role involves explaining Kämpfer combat mechanics to Mikoto. The Messenger also displays niche interests, such as an affinity for regionally exclusive television commercials, observed during a hotel programming selection scene.
