Description
Souta Minamino is the younger brother of Kanade Minamino, a central series character. He shares his sister's brown hair and eyes, typically dressing in a blue and green polo shirt, dark red pants, white and red socks, and black and red shoes. As an elementary student at Municipal Kanon Elementary School, he attends the same class as his friend Shirabe Ako.

Energetic and playful, Souta channels his enthusiasm into soccer. He frequently teases Kanade out of familial affection rather than malice. Their bond deepens when he prepares a White Day cupcake for her with Hibiki's assistance in episode 6. A misunderstanding over the gift creates temporary tension, resolved after Kanade saves him from a Negatone attack. Souta also develops a subtle crush on Ako, unfazed by her sternness. He invites her to play soccer and displays bashfulness upon seeing her Halloween princess costume.

His relationships extend beyond family. He affectionately calls Hibiki Hojo "Hibiki-neesan," treating her as an older sister. Their closeness surfaces when he gifts her a cupcake to thank her for helping with Kanade's present — though both startle at its wasabi filling. Souta's friendship with Ako anchors his narrative. He consistently supports her, sharing his umbrella in rainstorms and refusing to abandon her while she waits for her grandfather, Otokichi. His loyalty causes visible distress when Ako considers leaving Kanon Town.

Souta participates in key events. In episode 41, he dons a yellow sun-shaped "Sun Man" mask to aid the Pretty Cures, helping Ako distract villains Bassdrum and Baritone with a decoy. During Halloween in episode 37, he wears a vampire costume and reacts shyly to Ako's princess attire. He appears in the film "Suite Precure♪: Take Back! The Heart-Binding Miraculous Melody♪," meeting Mephisto, Ako's father. Their awkward interaction leaves Souta upset upon learning of Ako's potential departure.

He lives with his family at their bakery, Lucky Spoon. His growth emphasizes maturation through sibling reconciliation and unwavering friendships, particularly with Ako, highlighting his supportive and emotionally perceptive nature.
