Description
The Fairy Tones are jewel-like mascot entities originating from Major Land who serve Queen Aphrodite and aid the Suite Pretty Cure team. They appear as small, heart-faced creatures with bodies matching their signature colors, each featuring a heart-shaped gem attached to a golden crown and a larger gem on their heads. Crescendo Tone stands apart with a relaxed expression, large musical note-shaped wings, an elaborate crown, and a tail ornament, contrasting the wide-eyed, excited appearances of the others.

Their core function empowers the Cures. Inserted into devices like the Cure Modules, Miracle Belltier, Fantastic Belltier, or Love Guitar Rod, specific Tones grant transformation abilities: Dory enables Cure Melody's transformation, Rery enables Cure Rhythm's, Lary enables Cure Beat's, and Dodory enables Cure Muse's. Specific Tones also unlock weapons: Miry summons the Miracle Belltier for Cure Melody, Fary summons the Fantastic Belltier for Cure Rhythm, and Sory provides the Love Guitar Rod for Cure Beat. Shiry grants flight capabilities to Cure Muse. Beyond transformations, they purify and store musical notes extracted from defeated Negatones. They neutralize enemy musical staffs by attaching themselves and playing their respective notes. The Tones communicate verbally using the gender-neutral pronoun "boku" and mimic sounds like wind chimes, bells, drums, or whistles.

Crescendo Tone holds a unique origin as the "Fairy of Sound," responsible for generating all sounds in the world and birthing the other eight Fairy Tones. It normally resides in the Healing Chest, possessing the ability to heal other Tones and amplify the Cures' powers during critical moments. In Episode 47, the eight standard Tones combine to temporarily become Crescendo Tone, granting the Cures their Crescendo forms for the final battle. Crescendo Tone also enables the "Suite Session Ensemble Crescendo" group attack.

Across official media, their roles remain consistent. In the anime series, they assist in note collection, combat support, and emotional moments, such as restoring the Cures' morale during conflicts. The movie *Torimodose! Kokoro ga Tsunagu Kiseki no Melody!* features Crescendo Tone reviving Cure Melody after a sacrificial act, transforming her into Crescendo Cure Melody. The sequel novel, set a year after the anime, depicts them aiding the Cures in regaining their powers to confront Vanish, a new antagonist threatening Kanon Town.

Trivia notes include their naming conventions based on the Solfège scale, with each name's bolded syllable reflecting a symbolic concept: Dory (Dream), Rery (Legend), Miry (Miracle), Fary (Fantasy), Sory (Soul), Lary (Love), Shiry (Shine), and Dodory (extended "Do"). They end sentences with repeated syllables (e.g., Dory/Dodory: "~dodo!"). Physical distinctions include Fary's shorter arms, preventing crossed arms, and Dodory's star-shaped pupils. They are the first mascots in the franchise to also function as direct transformation items without altering their forms.
