TV-Series
Description
Kenzaburō Daiku is a second-year Tokisadame High School student and president of the igo-soccer club. As an heir or one of the heirs to the Daiku Zaibatsu, his extreme family wealth manifests in casual extravagance, like funding banners on school buildings to promote his club.

He has light chestnut-brown messy hair and eyes drawn as slim ovals surrounded by near-complete circles. His standard attire is a short-sleeved white shirt with a lightly open collar and long pants.

Despite his privileged status, Daiku maintains a relaxed, friendly demeanor, contrasting peers like Sasahara. He founded the igo-soccer club as a purposeless recreational group, initially spending sessions playing games with sole remaining member Yuria Sekiguchi after Ogi quit. When threatened with dissolution for having fewer than three members, he preserved the club through unspecified methods. His laid-back management shifted only when Makoto Sakurai joined and revealed igo-soccer is a real sport, confusing Daiku.

Daiku’s bond with Yuria Sekiguchi defines much of his arc; they are constant companions, and Sekiguchi harbors a crush on him. Initially oblivious, he seemingly recognizes her feelings by the series’ end. Even after recruiting new members, he continues non-igo-soccer activities with Sekiguchi during club time. His younger sister Sumika references his fascination with "a sport where people die."

Originally named Wakazawa Nobuaki in Shonen Ace’s July 2008 issue, he was finalized as Daiku Kenzaburou in the book release. His surname means "carpenter," while his given name combines the characters for "healthy, strong," "three," and "son."
