His millennia-long history includes fighting alongside others against the Demon Lord two thousand years ago to protect the land, after which he took the Black Witch Yana as his companion.

As the vampire faction's ruler, Dimitrie's domain borders werewolf territories, causing periodic tensions. He permits Count Villar's emissaries, like Theo Cornaro and Siluca Meletes, passage through his forest when they investigate werewolf migration disturbances. During their encounter, Dimitrie reveals his opposition to contemporary efforts to forge the Grancrest, symbolizing ultimate order. He discloses his goal to restart the Dark Ages by ushering in an era of Ultimate Chaos, believing the twilight era—a balance between order and chaos—is essential to his survival.
