Description
Peck hails from a village in the Teran Plains sustained by hunting and agriculture. When a monstrous bird called a Gerold devours all local life, devastating his home, Peck volunteers to find help. His exceptional running skills, the only way to evade the beast, make him the sole candidate. His father is deceased, leaving Peck and his mother among the survivors.

He is a young boy with tanned skin, a unibrow, a large nose, and dark purple hair styled in a bowl cut. Peck wears a gray shirt, orange pants, and gray sandals with blue straps. He carries a blue backpack holding a Gourmet Picture Book and wears an orange pouch at his waist containing his slingshot, though his aim is initially poor.

His villagers characterize Peck as a "coward" and "expert at running away," traits reflected in his struggle with fear when facing danger. Despite this, he shows strong determination and responsibility, driven by his village's reliance on him. Peck possesses extensive theoretical wildlife knowledge, frequently consulting his guidebook on his journey.

His quest leads him to World Kitchen, where he locates the hunter Toriko with help from a boatman named Tom. After Toriko saves him from a Red Haired Pig, Peck requests aid against the Gerold, offering meager compensation. Toriko agrees on the condition of claiming the beast. Traveling to the Teran Plains, Peck encounters a Bat Snake but fails to hit it with his slingshot, deepening his self-doubt. He later asks Toriko to mentor him, believing physical strength is essential for hunting. To challenge this, Toriko tasks him with subduing a Runaway Goat. Using his knowledge of the goat's behavior, Peck lures it off a cliff, though Toriko notes the goat was pre-weakened.

Arriving at his destroyed village, Peck reunites with his mother and helps prepare a feast. When the Gerold attacks, Toriko defeats it, revealing a Mammoth Bear had depleted the local food, causing the Gerold's aggression. Unfamiliar with this new threat, Peck joins Toriko's hunt, guiding him through shortcuts. After the Mammoth Bear incapacitates Toriko, Peck disobeys orders to flee and uses his slingshot to ignite a spark near the beast, exploiting its fear of light and freeing Toriko. This act signifies his pivotal shift from avoidance to courageous action.

Following the Mammoth Bear's defeat, Toriko shares its meat with the village. Peck declines an offer to travel with Toriko, choosing to stay with his mother and community. Later, he returns independently to World Kitchen, delivering a self-caught Red Haired Pig as proof of his newfound capability as a hunter.
