Description
Iroha Tsuchiura, Shūsuke Takanashi's childhood friend and neighbor since before Nao Takanashi's adoption, stands 147 cm tall with distinctive purple eyes and long blonde hair. At school, she typically wears her hair down but styles it in twin-tails with purple ribbons around Shūsuke, mirroring her childhood appearance. Her uniform includes a white and blue short-sleeve sailor-collar blouse, violet bowtie, brown sweater vest, dark blue pleated skirt, brown loafers, and varying socks. She often wears eyeglasses at home.
Iroha and Shūsuke grew up as neighbors, with childhood photos capturing them holding hands. A pivotal incident occurred during a game of "Doctor": after Shūsuke promised they would become lovers, Iroha allowed him to examine her without underwear. Days later, she reciprocated using children’s scissors, prompting him to flee as she chased him. Her family later moved away due to her father’s job but eventually returned to the neighborhood. Upon transferring to Shūsuke and Nao’s high school class, she sought him out and immediately reverted to twin-tails to trigger his recognition.
Her obsession with Shūsuke escalates into extreme stalking, employing telescopes and night vision goggles for surveillance while compiling detailed activity reports, cementing her "Genuine Stalker" reputation. She weaponizes their childhood "Doctor" promise to coerce him into dates, threatening disclosure to Nao if he refuses. Despite openly propositioning him and initiating physical advances, Shūsuke consistently rejects her, potentially out of guilt for influencing her behavior.
Iroha’s dynamic with Nao blends rivalry and reluctant cooperation. Both compete fiercely for Shūsuke’s attention, with Iroha branding Nao the "most wicked stalker" while acknowledging their competition. They clash to outperform each other but unite against external romantic threats. Manga depictions show greater friendliness beneath their rivalry, whereas the anime heightens their competitiveness.
Anime-original arcs introduce scenarios like an accidental kiss with Rin Yatagai, a lesbian character who develops subsequent interest in Iroha.
