TV-Series
Description
Kyouko first appears as a survivor of serial killings, confined within Furumachi Hospital. She claims the fabricated identities of Ayumu Aikawa's middle school classmate and the childhood friend of his associate Orito, her memory altered to support this deception. This facade of gentleness and trauma masks her true nature as the actual serial killer responsible for Ayumu's death.
Her deception shatters when she lures Ayumu to a graveyard, promising assistance only to impale him with a sword. She reveals herself as a Masou-Shoujo serving Ariel, confessing to murdering countless victims. She sacrificed their souls to the King of the Night to gain immortality and multiple extra lives, enabling resurrection after fatal injuries and rapid regeneration. In combat, she exhibits extreme sadism, entering manic states while taunting opponents and relishing the act of killing.
Kyouko's abilities include generating immobilizing smog vortices resembling Megalo attacks, conjuring magical fire blasts, and mimicking traits of supernatural entities like vampire ninjas. She can also manifest barriers to ensnare targets, combining swordsmanship with deceptive tactics in her fighting style.
Defeated in a decisive battle after Ayumu and Seraphim exploit her overconfidence, Seraphim stabs through Ayumu to pierce Kyouko's chest. She revives using an extra life, but Eucliwood Hellscythe intervenes. Eucliwood forcibly ends her rampage by repeatedly killing her with words, forcing her to experience the pain of each death. This strips her of nearly all her extra lives.
Imprisoned for her crimes, Kyouko undergoes significant psychological change. During a temporary parole in the second season, she displays restrained behavior: despite verbal hostility towards Ayumu's friends, she refrains from violence and expresses a desire for companionship. She acknowledges reflecting on her actions and struggles to control violent impulses. Her primary motivation shifts towards atoning for past crimes and seeking connection with Ayumu, to whom she confesses love. However, she remains conflicted between harming him and expressing affection. This culminates in a tearful farewell where she stabs him with his permission before choosing to follow "positive impulses," voluntarily returning to confinement.
Physically, Kyouko has yellow eyes and shoulder-length blonde hair often styled in twin tails. She stands 158-160 cm tall with measurements of 95-59-92. As a Masou-Shoujo, she wears a frilled costume with a collar.
