Description
Haru Irei's journey began at Odaiba's Shiokaze Park, where the towering RX-78-2 Gundam statue inspired him to pursue Gunpla building after he secured the rare GPB-X80 Beginning Gundam kit instead of a standard RX-78-2 model. This experience ignited his ambition to become a Gunpla Meister.

Kind-hearted yet tenacious and spirited, Haru engages in virtual Gunpla battles with fierce determination. His first crushing defeat devastated him due to both the loss and damage to his Beginning Gundam, but support from friends helped rebuild it and strengthen his resolve. Witnessing the RX-78-2 statue continuously fuels his drive to pilot a similar mobile suit.

Despite his novice status, Haru exhibits exceptional model-building prowess, effortlessly assembling the Beginning Gundam and later restoring it flawlessly. In combat, he demonstrates strategic adaptability by overcoming a 3-on-1 disadvantage in his debut battle and defeating experienced opponents with a damaged unit. His piloting skills include a unique claw-grip technique wielding three beam sabers simultaneously. After upgrading to the Beginning 30 Gundam, he masters remote bit weaponry, impressing veteran Meister Boris Schauer.

Key developments follow his initial victory over rival Koji Matsumoto. Boris Schauer's decisive defeat reveals Haru's limitations, motivating him to rebuild his Gunpla using his father's exclusive "IFS Unit" and Boris's design insights. This creates the enhanced GPB-X80-30F Beginning 30 Gundam, featuring upgraded armor, vernier boosters, an I-Field generator, and beam-saber bits.

Haru enters the national Gunpla Battle tournament alongside friends Kenta Sakazaki and Rina Noyama. The event concludes inconclusively during a beam-saber clash between Haru and Boris. One year later, Haru mentors younger builders at a hobby shop display showcasing his journey's key Gunpla, reflecting his growth into a guiding figure.
