Description
Thirteen-year-old Plym Machina serves as the mechanic aboard *The Beautiful Sophia*, instantly recognizable by her vibrant red-orange hair and eyes. Her typical mechanic's attire consists of a black top featuring finger holes and cut shoulders, brown pants secured with green straps, a light-yellow scarf, and a distinctive green-and-yellow hat. Plym radiates constant cheerfulness and excitability, often expressing herself by adding "mecha" as a prefix to words. She possesses a deep passion for mechanical objects and Battle Spirits cards, especially those with mechanical designs or "cool" appearances.
Before joining the *Sophia* crew to utilize her mechanical skills, Plym lived alone on the streets. Initially inexperienced with Battle Spirits, she admired mechanical spirits like Grand-Woden, even building a model of it on the ship. After Mai arranged her first match, Plym battled Kenzo, whom she underestimated. Focused on summoning visually impressive spirits rather than strategy, she lost due to her inexperience. This defeat sparked a crush on Kenzo, leading her to refer to him as "Ken-sama" and request his autograph.
Plym played crucial roles in multiple crew missions. She accompanied Youth and Dan to locate the 12 Zodiac X-Rares, using her mechanical knowledge to persuade card stand owner Olga for access. When an attack severely damaged the *Sophia*, Plym collaborated with Kenzo to enhance the ship's barrier system, increasing its strength tenfold to withstand subsequent assaults. During the mission to thwart Zazie's plan in Oct, she remotely controlled Pome robots to aid the crew's escape. She also assisted in preparing tractor beams before Dan and Barone's final confrontation.
Plym utilizes a white-attribute Battle Spirits deck, noted for its similarity to Yuuki Momose's deck. Her key cards include The IronKnight Yggdrasill, The ArmoredSacred Walhalance, and The WingDeity Grand-Woden, with the latter two being X-Rares. Her only documented battle occurred in episode 12, a single-match loss to Kenzo.
The epilogue depicts Plym wearing a uniform resembling Stella's, signifying a promotion earned following the events aboard the *Sophia*.
