Description
Youth Glynnhorn is a 13-year-old male with striking blue spiked hair, an orange hair band, and blue eyes. He wears a blue sleeveless shirt, white and blue pants, brown boots, fingerless gloves, and orange arm bands. Witnessing his parents murdered by mazoku demons in Australia, specifically on orders from Geraid, instilled a deep hatred for mazoku and shaped his initially serious, distant, brash, and impulsive personality.

Piloting the spacecraft Sophia, Youth displays immediate skepticism toward protagonist Dan Bashin, especially after Dan's early defeat. This distrust propels Youth into a battle with Clackey, resulting in his own loss. The defeat fosters sympathy for Dan and marks Youth's first steps toward openness. A pivotal shift occurs when he befriends the young mazoku Rugain in a neutral zone; Rugain's advice reinforces Youth's commitment to his red-colored cards and begins challenging his prejudices against mazoku.

Joining the quest to collect the 12 Zodiac X-Rares to prevent Earth's reset, Youth battles Olga to obtain The WaterCarrierDeity Aqua-Elysion. Overcoming self-doubt, he wins this crucial match. However, after Dan is injured and their collected X-Rares are stolen, Youth's feelings of inadequacy return. He impulsively battles the powerful mazoku Duc against his comrades' advice, suffering a defeat that intensifies his shame and trauma, particularly upon learning humans and mazoku share the same origins.

A major turning point comes when Youth encounters an injured Geraid. Though he initially seizes the chance for revenge, he ultimately chooses not to harm Geraid, demonstrating significant growth beyond his ingrained hatred. This decision earns Dan's respect. Later, during a practice battle with Dan, Youth uses a Brave spirit for the first time, encouraged by Dan to continue this new approach. Dan entrusts the future to Youth, planning to return to his own time. Youth requests a final battle with Dan, which remains unfulfilled due to Dan's sacrificial disappearance.

Youth utilizes a red-themed deck featuring key cards like The ThunderEmperorDragon Siegwurm, The StarEmperorDragon Meteorwurm, and The SunDragonDeity Rising-Apollodragon. His battle record includes losses to Clackey (episode 4), Duc (episode 24), and Dan (episodes 27 and 45), alongside his victory over Olga (episode 19). In the epilogue, he appears wearing a uniform resembling Kazan's, indicating a likely military promotion and his continued role.
