Description
Youth Glynnhorn is a 13-year-old pilot of the spaceship Sophia, marked by blue spiky hair secured with an orange headband. His attire includes a blue sleeveless shirt, white and blue pants, brown boots, fingerless gloves, and orange arm bands. Initially distant and serious, a fierce hatred for mazoku fuels his brash impulses. This animosity stems from childhood trauma in Australia, where he witnessed mazoku murder his parents under Geraid's orders, making him deeply distrustful of demons.

His skepticism surfaces when he doubts Dan Bashin's capabilities as a savior after an early defeat, leading to a confrontation with Clackey Ray. Though defeated, he gains sympathy for Dan's struggles. This sympathy shatters later when Youth furiously blames Dan for future crises upon learning of the 12 Zodiac X-Rares. After resigning as pilot and receiving encouragement from Mai Viole, he rejoins the Sophia crew.

A pivotal shift begins when Youth encounters the mazoku Rugain in a neutral zone. Rugain's non-confrontational demeanor and advice to keep his red deck challenge Youth's prejudices, forging an unexpected friendship and starting his move from hatred toward cautious acceptance. Facing self-doubt in a battle against Olga, Youth triumphs to win The WaterCarrierDeity Aqua-Elysion X-Rare.

Further setbacks test his growth. When Dan is injured and X-Rares stolen by Duc, Youth impulsively battles Duc to prove his worth but suffers a crushing defeat, deepening feelings of incompetence. Trauma resurfaces visiting his Australian hometown, reuniting him with childhood friend Karen and forcing him to confront memories of his parents' murder. There, he obtains The BullDragonDeity Dragonic-Taurus X-Rare but resists immediate vengeance against Geraid. Later, finding an injured Geraid abandoned by allies, Youth chooses not to kill him, demonstrating significant moral evolution that earns Dan's approval.

His combat skills develop under Dan's mentorship. Dan encourages incorporating Brave-type spirits into Youth's red deck, featuring dragons like The ThunderEmperorDragon Siegwurm, The StarEmperorDragon Meteorwurm, and The SunDragonDeity Rising-Apollodragon. His battle record includes losses to Clackey, Duc, and Dan (twice), and a win against Olga. In their final interaction, Dan entrusts the future to Youth before his heroic sacrifice, though their planned last battle remains unfulfilled. The epilogue depicts Youth in a uniform resembling Kazan's, implying a military promotion and his ongoing role in the rebuilt world.
