Description
Heart emerges from an egg found by a Maiasaura, who adopts him and raises him with her biological son, Light. Named by his adoptive mother, he grows up convinced he is herbivorous, subsisting on berries while struggling to digest tougher plants like acorns. His dark teal scales marked by crimson streaks and piercing blue eyes with yellow sclera set him apart from his herbivore family.

As a juvenile, Heart balances playfulness with insecurity, routinely defeated by Light in arm-wrestling and crumbling into tears when accused of carnivorous instincts. His fragile identity shatters when the tyrannosaur Gonza exposes his true nature, provoking a feral outburst where Heart severs part of Gonza’s tail. Consuming meat triggers visceral guilt, driving him to flee his home, terrified of endangering his family.

In adulthood, Heart hones his predatory skills, evolving into a formidable hunter with a hardened exterior. Yet he clings to herbivorous habits, nibbling berries and soothing meat cravings with lizard tails. His duality deepens upon encountering Umasou, an orphaned ankylosaurus who bonds with him as a parent. Though initially tempted to devour the hatchling, Heart instead shelters him, concealing his carnivory to nurture their bond while teaching survival tactics.

Haunted by nightmares of consuming his adoptive family, Heart wrestles with unresolved guilt. A clash with Gonza’s pack and Baku—a tyrannosaur revealed as his biological father—forces him to confront his lineage. After besting Gonza and sparing Baku, Heart reunites with his adoptive mother, whose unwavering love anchors his acceptance of a blended identity: a predator who prioritizes familial loyalty over primal urges.

Strategically adept, Heart outwits larger foes through agility and cunning, yet reveals vulnerability when separated from Umasou or revisiting past traumas. Raising Umasou echoes his own upbringing, underscoring themes of chosen kinship over biology. The eruption of Egg Mountain—a site tied to his adoptive mother—coincides with Umasou’s independence, cementing Heart’s transition into a self-assured guardian who harmonizes instinct with compassion.
