Description
Bash Lancer, also known as Baddap Sleed in Japanese media, serves as captain and star forward for the military academy team Ogre. Born to a military general father and a high-ranking government official mother destined to become the country's first female prime minister, his elite upbringing fostered a profound belief in his destined leadership. Enrolled at Ogre Academy due to his father's respect for Admiral Hibiki, he surpassed all peers and seniors to become the institution's top prodigy. His strategic brilliance emerged when he defeated classmate Eskaba in a tactical debate, arguing for total psychological domination over simple victory, revealing an intense drive noted by instructor Bauzen. This competitive nature led him to easily overpower Mistre in a physical confrontation, reinforcing his superiority complex.
Tasked with forming the Ogre soccer team for "Operation Thunderbreak," he selected Eskaba and Mistre for their strategic and physical strengths. The mission involved time travel 80 years into the past to eliminate soccer by destroying the Raimon team and demoralizing its founder, Endou Mamoru. As Ogre's leader, he first demonstrated combat prowess by defeating numerous minions, receiving the forehead mark symbolizing his command. His team annihilated Zeus 36-0 in the Football Frontier semifinals using brutal tactics that injured opponents. During the final against Raimon, he remained motionless initially to psychologically exhaust his foes before scoring the second goal with his signature Death Spear technique. This shot overpowered Endou's Majin the Hand and injured multiple Raimon players.
His personality blends calculated calm with deep-seated rage toward soccer, flaring when provoked by positive remarks about the sport. This fury made Endou Kanon, arriving to reinforce Raimon, his primary target. However, Endou Mamoru's declaration about the courage to play rather than fight triggered flashbacks of Baddap enjoying soccer with friends in his youth. This revelation sparked a profound change; he thanked Endou and attempted a handshake, signaling his rediscovered love for the game. Though interrupted by his recall to the future, he struck his chest twice to convey understanding and respect for Endou's philosophy.
He appears later in the OVA *Inazuma Eleven: Chō Jigen Dream Match* as part of the Inazuma Battle Eleven, combining with Bai Long for Emperor Penguin No. 2, stopped by Endou's God Hand. His gameplay presence spans titles like *Inazuma Eleven 3*, *GO*, *Chrono Stone*, and *Galaxy*, requiring specific recruitment conditions. His stats consistently show high kicking power (rated "S" in *GO Strikers 2013*) and leadership-oriented "Freedom" attributes, peaking at 200 in *Galaxy*. His techniques include the cooperative shot Death Break (with Eskaba and Mistre) and the solo Death Spear, enveloping the ball in a dark energy spear. In *GO* and *Chrono Stone*, he accesses warrior spirits like Black Queen and Lord Pendragon, while *Galaxy* grants him totems including the Lion. Following the movie's events, he returned to his timeline reformed, secretly cherishing soccer and abandoning his mission to eradicate the sport.
