Description
Bonbori and Hozuki, half-spirit twins bound by an unbreakable connection, mirror each other in light blonde hair, golden-green eyes, and pink yukatas. Their names—Bonbori (“snow cave”) and Hozuki (“demon light”)—echo their dual heritage, intertwining innocence and otherworldly power.

Abandoned as children in a forest cave, they survived under the secret care of a woman who smuggled them supplies and warned them to avoid daylight. Viewing her as a mother, their defiance of her rules led to her execution by villagers, sparking a vengeful pursuit by her husband. The twins narrowly escaped, rescued by the fox spirit Kushimatsu, who delivered them to the Ministry of Spirit Affairs.

Playful and mischievous, they delight in games of hide-and-seek, exploiting their identical looks to bewilder others. Their bond with Ganryu, a human partner, borders on devotion: they cling to him with fierce trust, and Hozuki immobilizes him mid-battle to shield Bonbori, prioritizing her safety over his objections.

Their combat relies on seamless synergy. Hozuki’s voice summons enchanted petals that track, communicate, or attack, while Bonbori wields them as weapons. Destroyed petals wound Hozuki’s soul, a vulnerability offset by Bonbori’s skill in confrontations like their clash with the Black Widow.

Relationships anchor their world. They shield Zakuro, taunting her about her covert affection for Kei, and entrust Susukihotaru’s safety to Riken when absent. With Ganryu, mutual dependence blooms into a confessed triad bond, defying convention.

Once traumatized orphans, they evolve into Ministry allies, wrestling with their hybrid nature and abandonment scars. Their journey traces a path from isolation to fragile belonging, marked by tentative trust and the slow unfurling of emotional bonds.
