Description
Putin is an anthropomorphic rabbit imprisoned as a "capitalist agent" after missing work due to a hangover, receiving a three-year sentence. His green-striped prison uniform bears the serial number "541". Slim with ears tied in a knot, a wide nose, and a perpetually open mouth, he typically wears sandals and walks with hands slightly lifted.

Characterized as joyful, kind-natured, and somewhat foolish, he frequently dances the Russian kozachok, even while sleeping. Despite his generally carefree demeanor, he panics easily; his face shifts color—turning blue, red, or deathly pale—during moments of fear or anxiety. His panic extends to low alcohol tolerance, becoming extremely drunk from a single cup of wine.

Exceptionally skilled in mechanics, he rapidly builds, repairs, or modifies complex machinery within split seconds, such as assembling cars, disassembling guns, or constructing robots. In Season 4, he creates Mechanenko, a robot modeled after Kirenenko, though its functionality proves unreliable. His resourcefulness frequently resolves problems during escapes or conflicts.

Initially content with prison life due to free food, his relationship with cellmate Kirenenko—a death-row inmate—drives his decision to escape despite being one day from release. Putin manages day-to-day challenges while Kirenenko remains apathetic unless provoked. He also cares for non-rabbit companions: Leningrad, an Argentine horned frog living in their cell toilet whom he feeds regularly, aiding its growth from a tadpole to adulthood, and Komanetsyn, a hermaphroditic chick he rescues during prison work.

Season Zero reveals his incarceration occurred while heavily intoxicated; upon sobriety, he expressed confusion and fear about his surroundings. His escape journey in Season 2 includes outfitting their car with a jet engine from a downed fighter jet. In later seasons, his mechanical innovations like Mechanenko continue to influence their adventures, often with unintended consequences.
