Description
Sun Ce (Son Saku) Physalis, modeled after the GP-02 Gundam, embodies the impulsive, battle-driven older brother of Sonken and Shoukou in the Son faction. His fiery temperament starkly contrasts Sonken’s restraint, favoring relentless aggression and expansion. After their father, Sonken Zephyranthes, perishes, he seizes command of the Son army, spearheading campaigns and clashing decisively with Taishiji Dom—defeating yet failing to sway the adversary to his cause.
In the Clash of the Heroes arc, he intercepts Kakuka Virsago’s assault to rescue Ryuubi (Liu Bei), suffering mortal wounds. With his final breath, he implores Sonken to embrace the mantle of the "Moon that heals the people," urging a shift toward compassionate rule. Resurrected through dark forces and possessed by the entity Shuu, he resurges as an antagonist in the Battle of the War God chapter. Overpowering Ryuubi, Kan-u, and Kan-pei, he confronts Sonken, now awakened as the Goutaitei. Defeated, his consciousness reemerges; he voices pride in Sonken’s ascension before crumbling into ash.
The manga adaptation alters his fate: Shuu’s corruption is purged by Sonken, sparing his life and restoring his leadership. Within the Brave Battle Warriors anime continuity, he persists beyond his father’s death, marching on Koutou and waging naval warfare. Partnering with strategist Shuuyu Hyakushiki, he seizes an enemy fleet, realizing his father’s dream of maritime supremacy.
His combat prowess manifests through the Sealed Tiger Saber, unleashing the "Wild Tiger, Savage Beast Roar" and "Heavenly Steel Inferno"—blazing techniques mirroring his ferocity and fiery symbolism. His journey intertwines legacy, possession, and redemption, balancing familial duty against the perilous allure of dark power.
