Description
Guan Yu, also known as Kan-u Gundam, is a character derived from the historical figure Guan Yu in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, built upon the mobile suit ZZ Gundam as its base. He is one of the three sworn brothers of Ryuubi Gundam and Chouhi Gundam, forming the core of the Yuushu Resistance, which later establishes the country of Shou, representing the Kingdom of Shu.
Guan Yu wields the Seiryuengetsutou and executes a signature technique called "Demon Fang 100 swift strikes," performing one hundred glaive thrusts in a split second. After the Battle of Red Cliffs and the formation of the Three Kingdoms, he continues to serve the Shou kingdom. Through mastering combat, he achieves a new form known as Wu Sheng Guan Yu ν Gundam, wielding an enlarged and enhanced Seiryuengetsutou that strikes enemies from greater distances.
At one point, as darkness begins to affect the three kingdoms, Guan Yu is rescued from peril by the timely return of Ryuubi Gundam. His story belongs to the broader "Battle of the War Gods" chapter.
