Description
Fiole Folkal lived as a cheerful and hardworking commoner until nobles from Roland, led by Count Klausberr, abducted his sister Eslina. Their intent was to present her as a slave to Sion Astal. Driven by this act, Fiole sought vengeance against the responsible nobles, unknowingly attacking Sion himself. Learning the truth, Sion returned Eslina and hired Fiole as his personal assistant.
Fiole developed profound respect and admiration for Sion, feeling deep gratitude for Sion's rise to kingship. He dedicated himself entirely to serving Sion. However, Fiole's position as a commoner in such a high-ranking role provoked fierce opposition from the Anti-King faction of nobles, who were dissatisfied with Sion's early reign and resented Fiole's appointment.
Shortly after Sion left the castle, assassins sent by these Anti-King nobles attacked and killed Fiole. Their primary goal was to undermine Sion's authority by eliminating a key commoner appointee. Later revelations confirmed the Fenirun brothers, known for their malicious addiction to killing and hired by Count Klausberr, carried out the murder. Following their failure to kill Ryner Lute, Sion ordered their execution via his subordinate Miran.
Fiole shared a close bond with his sister Eslina, and his actions were consistently motivated by his desire to protect her. His journey from a vengeful commoner to Sion's loyal retainer demonstrated his gratitude and dedication. The political tensions stemming from Sion's reforms, particularly the elevation of commoners, directly led to Fiole becoming a target and his assassination.
