Description
Bachō Mōki, real name Sui, comes from Ryoushuu where her father Batou governed until Sousou's invasion killed him. Homeless and vengeful, she joined Kazuto's forces specifically to pursue revenge against Sousou. She underwent significant emotional growth, moving beyond her anger to achieve peace and ultimately forgive Sousou.

Tomboyish, straightforward, and energetic, she balances emotional sensitivity beneath a cool, laid-back exterior. Easily flustered by romantic topics or comments on her femininity, she reacts to perverted situations or compliments with extreme embarrassment, stuttering, tsundere-like denials, and physical outbursts. Fiercely loyal to allies and duty-bound, she acknowledges her intellectual limits, preferring physical solutions over strategy and acting impulsively without planning. She has mild urinary incontinence for comedic effect and shares a large appetite with Chouhi, Kyocho, and Ryofu.

She wields a jumonji yari (cross-shaped spear) to distinguish herself from Kan'u, demonstrating exceptional spearmanship that rivals warriors like Chouhi. Enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, and stamina make her dominant in combat. Her elite horsemanship stems from her family's cavalry ties and Ryoushuu's renowned mounted units; she owns three horses—Ouhou, Shien, and Kirin—and commands cavalry effectively. She reads auras to gauge opponents' strength and honesty. Her intense family training regimen includes weighted bunnyhopping, inverted suspended sit-ups, log-swinging, weighted pushups, whirlpool resistance, volcanic hand-walking, and arrow deflection. Weaknesses include poor foresight, stubbornness, and overreliance on brute force.

Her relationships feature strong loyalty and camaraderie. She bonds closely with Chouhi Yokutoku, becoming inseparable friends who share an aversion to meetings and similar energy. With Kazuto, she harbors deep love but reacts with flustered embarrassment to his teasing and coercive advances, forming a reluctant romantic connection despite initial denials.

Her motif is the horse, reflected in her family name meaning "horse," equestrian skill, and animal fondness. She wears a combat headband in visual novel and manga adaptations. Her eyebrows thickened slightly in the second visual novel iteration. In the anime, she is a notoriously heavy sleeper.
