Hu Zhen (Ko Shin) Gyan is a general serving the tyrannical warlord Toutaku (Dong Zhuo) Zaku in Mirisha. Holding the title of Chinkou Shougun, he conducts military operations against forces opposing Toutaku's rule, with his primary mission being the retrieval of the legendary Ryuuteiken sword from Ryuubi (Liu Bei) Gundam.
During a strategic engagement, Hu Zhen ambushes Ryuubi and his sworn brothers Kan-u Gundam and Chouhi Gundam near a cliff. He lures Chouhi into a trap, destroys a bridge, and causes the trio to fall into the river below. Though Hu Zhen reports this as a victory, Toutaku reacts with fury over the failure to secure the Ryuuteiken. In response, Hu Zhen stakes his life and military title on a renewed vow to steal the sword.
Later, Hu Zhen leads Toutaku's troops to invade a village where Ryuubi and his brothers are recuperating. He overpowers the trio with a specialized finishing technique. However, Ryuubi regains the Ryuuteiken during the battle, enabling the three brothers to unite their power. Hu Zhen is ultimately defeated and destroyed by their combined "Holy Trinity" attack.
