Description
Alice Lendrott, the protagonist’s primary maid and childhood friend, is defined by unwavering loyalty and deep affection forged in their shared past. Their bond began in childhood when he defended her from bullies, kindling a devotion that would shape her life. When a lethal touch curse befell him, Alice joined his retreat to a secluded estate with butler Rob, dedicating herself as his caretaker. She masks her calculated efforts to push him toward a cure behind provocative teasing and playful flirtations.

Daughter of Sharon, the noble family’s former head maid, Alice grew up on the estate until the protagonist’s curse and her mother’s supposed death tore them apart. Years later, she learned Sade’s curse had claimed Sharon, trading eternal slumber for curing Alice’s childhood sickness. This revelation forced Alice into her aunt Daleth’s strained guardianship until reuniting with the protagonist two years later. Defying his objections, she vowed to support him at the estate.

Beneath a composed facade lies emotional depth that others find mysterious. Inheriting her family’s witch-linked gifts, Alice communicates with spirits—an ability pivotal in her quest to unravel the curse. Partnering with Daleth and witch Amelia, she traces the affliction to Sade, deciphers Sharon’s diary, and performs ancient rituals in relentless pursuit of a cure.

Their dynamic matures from teasing banter to interdependent trust, her every act aimed at safeguarding his heart. Even when his affectionate confession moves her to silent tears, she stands unshaken in her vow to remain. Post-curse, their marriage crowns years of shared trials, though adjusting to using his first name proves unexpectedly challenging.

Alice’s striking presence—tall, blonde, and blue-eyed—is accentuated by a form-fitting black maid uniform complete with fishnet stockings, routinely flustering the protagonist. As their story unfolds, she transcends caretaker duties, mending family rifts, coming to terms with Sharon’s fate, and forging connections with allies like the protagonist’s sister Viola.
