TV-Series
Description
Dark Precure emerges as a major antagonist, engineered by Professor Sabaku specifically to destroy Cure Moonlight and the Great Tree of Hearts. Her initial victory over Cure Moonlight causes the Tree of Hearts to wilt, though its survival is secured by the arrival of new Pretty Cures.

She possesses light skin and teal hair cut in a bob. Her eyes exhibit heterochromia: initially, her left eye is gold and her right eye blue. Following her rebirth, both eyes shift to gold, each featuring central heterochromia as a blue ring encircling the pupil. Her attire consists of a black ruffled dress with red undertones, complemented by a black choker, dark blue teardrop earrings, and a circular blue brooch. A single black draconic wing extends from her left shoulder—a consequence of accelerated growth within her incubator that hindered full wing development.

Her personality reflects cold stoicism and a fierce, singular obsession with eliminating Cure Moonlight. This rivalry stems from a complicated connection to Cure Moonlight's civilian identity, Yuri Tsukikage, whom she later identifies as her non-biological sister. She frames their relationship as analogous to the moon and its shadow, declaring herself the destined "darkness" meant to consume Yuri's "light." Her loyalty to Professor Sabaku is absolute, viewing him as a father figure; she reacts with intense rage when Cure Moonlight injures him, escalating her aggression.

Her history unfolds through decisive battles. After defeating Cure Moonlight at the Tree of Hearts, she captures the fairies Chypre and Coffret, demanding the Heart Pot from Cure Blossom and Cure Marine. She easily overpowers them until Cure Moonlight intervenes, forcing her retreat. She later targets locations linked to Yuri’s family, including the train station where Yuri’s mother works, to lure out Cure Moonlight. Though she gains the upper hand, Sabaku recalls her before she can deliver a final blow. Discovering the Tree of Hearts’ location, she ambushes the Cures during a barrier-repair mission. Despite Cure Sunshine joining the fight, she dominates until the barrier restores. After Cure Moonlight regains her transformation ability, their rematch ends in a stalemate interrupted by Sabaku. He places her in a recovery orb, remarking her time is near. Reborn with enhanced power—signified by both eyes glowing gold—she effortlessly disables the Cures’ Super forms and rescues Cobraja.

Her downfall occurs during the rescue of Kaoruko (Cure Flower). Enraged by Cure Moonlight shattering Sabaku’s mask and revealing his identity, she launches a frenzied assault. Cure Moonlight defeats her using Floral Power Fortissimo, shattering the gem on her chest. As she fades away, she returns Cure Moonlight’s missing Heart Seed fragments with a smile while Sabaku cradles her.

Her abilities include generating red energy shields for defense or offense, unleashing telekinetic gusts by opening her sealed eye, and employing dark variants of Pretty Cure techniques like Dark Forte Wave and Dark Power Fortissimo. These powers exceed those of most Cures, with only Cure Moonlight matching her in combat. Notably, ancillary media confirms she lacks a Heart Flower.
