Director 'El Mafiós', also known as the Paradise King, emerges as the primary antagonist in the eighth Crayon Shin-chan film. A human stranded under unknown circumstances on a remote island, he survived an initial attack by the indigenous monkey population. Following a significant conflict, he defeated the monkeys and forcibly established dominance over them, compelling them into servitude as his workforce and enforcers. He adopted the title "Paradise King" to signify his self-proclaimed rulership of the island and its simian inhabitants.
His core philosophy asserts that physical strength constitutes ultimate authority, a belief used to justify his control over the monkeys and his subsequent actions. Driven by this worldview, he orchestrates the kidnapping of all adult passengers from a nearby cruise ship, intending to enslave them for his island projects. The monkey tribe, acting under his command, infiltrates the vessel at night and captures individuals over 18 years old.
His motivations extend beyond domination; he craves validation as a heroic figure, specifically aiming to surpass the fictional superhero Action Kamen, whom he views as the ultimate symbol of strength. To achieve this, he directly confronts Action Kamen (portrayed by Gotarō Go) in martial arts and aerial combat. During the climax, he attempts to destroy the cruise ship using dynamite deployed from a glider, seeking to eliminate opposition to his rule.
His reign ends when Shinnosuke Nohara and Action Kamen defeat him in combat. Following his defeat, Shinnosuke impersonates him to command the monkeys, instructing them to abandon servitude and live freely, dismantling his control over the tribe. The character shows no further development or redemption after his defeat, and his background prior to arriving on the island remains unexplored. His role remains confined solely to the events of this film narrative.
