Description
Colonel Ka Gae-Ru, a disgraced military officer from the defunct Siak Republic, carried the legacy of his father, the exiled dictator Ka Rum, into exile. After fleeing his collapsed Southeast Asian homeland for Japan, he channeled his rage into vengeance, convinced the shadowy hacker known as the Puppeteer had orchestrated his father’s assassination. His desperate bid for retribution culminated in a botched airport hostage crisis, where panic overtook him. Moments before fatally shooting himself—a grim echo of other Siak operatives’ coerced suicides—he warned of the Puppeteer’s looming ascendancy. Posthumous probes exposed his role in a thwarted bioterror scheme: weaponizing kidnapped children to spread a micromachine virus across Japan, a final strike against those he blamed for his father’s demise. His death unraveled threads of the Puppeteer’s wider conspiracy, revealing cyberbrain manipulation tactics that propelled Section 9 to investigate the Solid State Society’s network of child trafficking and elder welfare fraud.
