Description
Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Vallière is the third daughter of the Duke and Duchess de la Vallière, a Tristainian aristocratic family famed for military service and wind magic heritage. Her enrollment at Tristain Academy of Magic is marked by persistent failures in elemental spellcasting, earning her the mocking nickname "Louise the Zero" for her zero percent success rate. This fuels social ostracization, particularly from peers like Kirche von Zerbst who relish taunting her.

Petite in stature, Louise possesses long pink hair and pink eyes. Her modest bustline contributes to personal insecurity. She consistently wears the academy uniform: a white blouse, gray pleated skirt, black thigh-high socks, Mary Jane shoes, and a black cloak secured by the school emblem.

Initially, Louise exhibits a volatile temperament characterized by pride, impatience, and deep-seated insecurity born from familial and societal disapproval. She rigorously enforces noble protocols, especially with her summoned familiar, Saito Hiraga—a human accidentally brought from Japan during a ritual. She treats him harshly, resorting to whipping or explosive magic for disobedience or perceived slights, particularly his interactions with other women. Despite this, she gradually develops genuine affection for him, evolving into a clingy and jealous romantic partner. Her complex personality also encompasses generosity, selflessness, and fierce loyalty, especially towards her elder sister Cattleya and childhood friend Queen Henrietta, whom she serves as a lady-in-waiting.

Louise’s true magical affinity is later revealed as the rare and potent Void element. Her spells include Explosion, Dispel, Illusion, Teleport, World Door (enabling interdimensional travel), and Total Annihilation. Casting demands lengthy incantations and intense emotion; negative feelings like jealousy or anger often fuel her magic, while contentment hinders it. Her runic name transforms from "Zero" to "Void" upon this discovery. As a Void mage, she inherits the Founder’s Prayer Book and becomes pivotal to Tristain’s defense, engaging in conflicts such as the war against Reconquista and battles involving ancient dragons.

Significant events shape her character: rescuing Tabitha from political manipulation, temporarily renouncing her nobility to shield Tristain from international conflicts, and facing disownment by her family. Consequently, Queen Henrietta adopts her as a sister, naming her heir presumptive and Crown Princess of Tristain. Her relationship with Saito matures from mutual hostility to deep commitment, culminating in marriage. Post-marriage, she adopts the name Louise Françoise le Blanc de Hiraga de Ornielle.

Beyond magic, Louise excels at horseback riding but struggles with knitting. Her hobbies include consuming cookberry pie, and she harbors a strong aversion to frogs and Kirche.
