Description
Jiguro Musa rose as the youngest and most formidable warrior within Kanbal’s elite King’s Spears, renowned for his unmatched spear mastery and tactical command. His heroic stature fractured when royal physician Karuna Yonsa, his closest friend, was forced by Prince Rogsam to assassinate the king. To shield Karuna’s young daughter Balsa from retribution, Jiguro sacrificed his honor, abandoning his post and fleeing Kanbal as a branded traitor.

Exiled in New Yogo, he forged a new life as a bodyguard while raising Balsa, relentlessly hunted by his former King’s Spears comrades. Forced to slay these lifelong allies to protect the child, Jiguro imprinted a legacy of guilt upon Balsa, compelling her oath to redeem his sacrifices by saving eight lives. Though resistant to teaching her combat, he relented after seeing her instinctively mirror his movements, shaping her into a peerless fighter.

Illness claimed Jiguro in New Yogo, surrounded by allies, his spear bequeathed to Balsa as both weapon and inheritance. His siblings—Kaguro, Yuguro, and an unnamed sister—remained estranged, their children Kahm, Kassa, Shisheem, and Gina never meeting the uncle exiled for their safety. Beyond battle, Jiguro harbored a quiet devotion to literature, collecting aged tomes that contrasted his martial prowess.

Years later, his past resurged when brother Yuguro, seeking to bury Jiguro’s true defiance and his own complicity in framing him, targeted Balsa. These revelations in *Guardian of the Darkness* exposed how Jiguro’s flight reshaped Kanbal’s power struggles and anchored Balsa’s resolve to confront the shadows of his choices—a testament to enduring loyalties and the cost of truth in a realm steeped in deception.
