OVA
Description
Tennyo Masaki is the daughter of Nobuyuki Masaki and Kiyone Masaki, serving as the older sister to Tenchi Masaki and half-sister to Kenshi Masaki. Despite being 80 years old, she possesses a youthful appearance identical to her deceased mother. To conceal her extended lifespan on Earth, she often adopts an elderly disguise when interacting with humans.

During Tenchi's infancy, Tennyo leveraged her identical appearance to Kiyone, frequently swapping places with her mother to care for him. She departed Earth shortly after Kiyone's death to avoid raising suspicions among former classmates who would notice her lack of aging. Years later, she returned to introduce Tenchi to his arranged fiancée, Noike Kamiki Jurai. Nobuyuki attempted a prank by pretending Tennyo was Kiyone, but his exaggerated acting forced Tennyo to reveal herself when Tenchi became distressed.

After resolving the confusion, Tennyo left for a Hawaii class reunion trip with her grandmother, Airi Masaki, and Rea. She later returned to Earth for Nobuyuki's wedding to Rea, attending alongside the extended Masaki and Jurai families.

In space, Tennyo works as a young Philosopher within Airi Masaki's Galaxy Academy production workshops. She designed the armaments for the original Kamidake, the first ship assigned to Seina Yamada in the Galaxy Police. Following Miki Steinbeck's apparent death, Tennyo comforted Seina Yamada, who initially mistook her for Kiyone, provoking an emotional reaction.

During OVA 4 events, Tennyo is shown dating Hakuryo Masaki, who grew up in Masaki Village and joined Airi's workshop. Hakuryo cites "timing" as an obstacle to formalizing their relationship, implying infrequent meetings without Airi. Unofficial doujinshi material by series creator Masaki Kajishima portrays her viewing Hakuryo as a "dumb dog she keeps around."

In OVA 5, Tennyo changes her hair color, potentially to further differentiate herself from Kiyone. She investigates Kiyone's dimensional travel research, particularly concerning Rea's origins from Geminar. A scene misleadingly suggests she pilots the mecha Yomotsuookami to visit Banjo Island, though it remains unclear whether she piloted, was a passenger, or if the mecha operated autonomously.
