Description
Siegfried Kircheis spent his childhood in a middle-class neighborhood as an only child. His life shifted dramatically when the von Musel family moved next door, sparking an instant friendship with young Reinhard von Musel and his sister Annerose. Kircheis developed deep affection for Annerose and shared Reinhard's profound devastation when Kaiser Friedrich IV took her as a concubine. This event solidified his pledge of lifelong loyalty to Reinhard, committing to help him gain power to free Annerose—even through treason. Both entered the Imperial Academy to pursue military careers as the swiftest path to influence.

Kircheis consistently served alongside Reinhard in their early military assignments, rising through the ranks as Reinhard's trusted confidant. His tactical skill emerged during the Alliance invasion of the Empire, where his fleet targeted supply lines, forcing Alliance forces into foraging that ignited civilian revolts. At the Battle of Amritsar Starzone, he deployed directional seffle particle generators to breach enemy minefields, securing a decisive Imperial victory and earning his promotion to High Admiral.

During the Imperial Civil War, Kircheis commanded frontier operations against Lippstadt League loyalists. In a pivotal engagement, he led 40,000 ships against Marquis Littenheim's 50,000-strong fleet. Demonstrating bold tactics, his flagship Barbarossa spearheaded a detachment of 800 ships that shattered Littenheim's formations, achieving a swift victory. He later secured Garmisch Fortress with minimal casualties, eliminating significant opposition in the frontier systems.

Kircheis maintained a principled stand against unethical methods, clashing notably with Reinhard's strategist Paul von Oberstein over utilitarian tactics. This conflict intensified when he learned of Reinhard's indirect involvement in the Westerland Massacre. Traveling to Geiersburg Fortress, he confronted Reinhard, arguing that sacrificing lives for political gain was unacceptable. Though Reinhard asserted his authority, Kircheis temporarily set aside his objections, trusting his friend's inherent morality would prevail.

Kircheis died thwarting Commodore Ansbach's assassination attempt on Reinhard. As Ansbach fired a concealed rocket launcher, Kircheis intervened, deflecting the shot. Ansbach then mortally wounded him with a particle beam ring, striking his chest and neck. Despite his injuries, Kircheis restrained Ansbach until other admirals subdued the assailant. In his final moments, he reassured Reinhard that he had fulfilled his promise to Annerose and urged him to conquer the universe. He succumbed to blood loss on September 9, 3597 CE.

Posthumously promoted to Fleet Admiral, Kircheis was buried in Odin's Central Imperial Graveyard under a tombstone inscribed "Mein Freund." His death left a profound void for Reinhard, who frequently pondered how Kircheis might have advised him during later challenges. Alliance strategist Yang Wen-li believed Kircheis's presence could have enabled peaceful coexistence between the Empire and Alliance. Imperial leaders like Mittermeyer, Reuenthal, and Hildegard von Mariendorf consistently noted that Kircheis's calming influence and moral clarity remained irreplaceable.
