Description
Kissu, alias Kiss, serves as the third member of the Beet Warriors, specializing in Divine Power. He forged a pivotal friendship with Beet when both were twelve, establishing shared goals: Beet vowed to end the Dark Century, while Kissu aspired to become the world's greatest master of Divine Attack. They temporarily parted ways to pursue these ambitions, leading Kissu to join another Buster team.

This team betrayed him during an encounter with the formidable Vandel Baron. Instructed to distract Baron while teammates prepared an attack, Kissu was abandoned as bait. Baron killed the fleeing Busters but spared Kissu for his bravery. The betrayal shattered Kissu's trust in humans, convincing him Vandels held greater honor. Wandering in disillusionment, he encountered the Vandel Grineed. Grineed exploited Kissu's state, employing him to decipher ruins that enabled the creation of rock-based monsters. To ensure compliance and prevent Divine Power use, Grineed fitted him with a poison-injecting bracelet.

Reuniting with Beet forced Kissu into internal conflict, torn between loyalty to Grineed and his old friend. During a battle against Grineed's subordinate Rozzgoat, Kissu defended a weakened Beet, decisively rejecting Grineed and rejoining Beet's cause. Beet removed the poisoned bracelet, saving Kissu's life. Kissu then became the Beet Warriors' long-range Divine Attacker, though his two-year suppression of abilities left him physically and mentally out of practice. His service under Grineed made him a fugitive from the Buster Association, necessitating a trial after Grineed's defeat; Broad Buster Milfa facilitated this process, recognizing his team's faith.

Kissu possesses genius intellect, fueling rapid problem-solving and tactical analysis. Unlike most Busters who specialize in one, he uniquely masters all five Divine Power elements: Fire, Water, Wind, Thunder, and Light. His combat style involves firing arrows of Light that conceal other elemental attacks, unpredictably alternating their effects. He manipulates Wind defensively as a shield and employs the signature technique Frozen Wave of Divine Blue to freeze targets solid for destruction. Other abilities include the Disc of Light defense, Great Fire Ball of Divine Furor, and the rarely used Burst End.

He struggles with cowardice and self-doubt, particularly when confronting Baron again. In volume 11, he froze in terror during Baron's attack and fled when tasked with saving Poala, echoing his past abandonment. This failure plunged him into despair until guidance from Gala at her mother's grave spurred him to rejoin Beet and Poala with renewed resolve for a final stand against Baron. Kissu harbors a romantic interest in Poala and is one of Milfa's crushes.
