Officially dispatched to retrieve Mai from her mission with Santa, Sharry aims to return her to the academy for further training. This duty includes reassigning Mai's territory to herself, citing Mai's neglect of responsibilities while living with Santa. Despite their professional rivalry, Sharry and Mai share a longstanding friendship rooted in their childhood as neighbors and classmates, though they frequently clash over differing values and approaches to Santa duties.

During the retrieval mission, Sharry grapples between enforcing regulations and her personal loyalty to Mai. Initially presenting antagonistically to demand Mai's return, she later actively facilitates private moments between Mai and Santa so they can express their feelings before separation, revealing underlying concern for Mai's emotional well-being.

In the OVA-original summer storyline, her role expands through comedic interactions with Mai's younger sister, MaiMai. MaiMai frequently bites Sharry as a running gag when Sharry interferes with MaiMai's attempts to stay close to her older sister.
