Wyvern Rhadamanthys stands as one of the three Judges of the Underworld within Hades' army, commanding the prison realm of Caina. His authority ranks among the highest of the 108 Specters, leading a dedicated division. Originating from the Faroe Islands (alternatively depicted as the United Kingdom in *The Lost Canvas*), Rhadamanthys possesses a formidable stature at 189 cm tall and 84 kg weight, marked by prominent connected eyebrows and blond hair. His ruthless pragmatism in service to Hades drives him to disregard orders from Pandora—Hades' lieutenant—when he deems it necessary for victory. This leads him to covertly deploy Specters to invade Athena’s Sanctuary despite explicit prohibitions, resulting in severe reprimands and torture from Pandora when these missions fail. He wears the Wyvern Surplice, linked to the Celestial Savage Star, and channels potent purple Cosmo energy. His primary technique, **Greatest Caution**, concentrates cosmic energy into his palms to unleash devastating typhoon-like winds or dark energy blasts capable of atomic destruction. A secondary ability, **Wyvern’s Roar**, projects damaging soundwaves. Utilizing these techniques, he effortlessly defeats the resurrected Gold Saints Cancer Deathmask and Pisces Aphrodite after nullifying their attacks, demonstrating superiority over Athena’s elite warriors. During the assault on Hades’ castle, Rhadamanthys exploits an environmental barrier suppressing intruders' Cosmo to 10% while his remains undiminished. He overwhelms Gold Saints Leo Aiolia, Scorpio Milo, and Aries Mu in a one-sided battle. Later confronting the Bronze Saints—whose Athena-blessed Cloths resist the barrier—their efforts prove insufficient until Pegasus Seiya’s persistence forces both combatants into the Underworld’s depths. Within the Underworld, Rhadamanthys faces Gemini Kanon, whose unrestrained power proves nearly fatal without the castle’s barrier advantage. Kanon’s illusions and Galaxian Explosion technique inflict severe injuries, exposing Rhadamanthys' vulnerability. He later intervenes during Silver Saint Lyra Orphée’s assassination attempt on Hades. Suspecting treachery, Rhadamanthys feigns susceptibility to Orphée’s hypnotic music and mortally wounds him, though Orphée sacrifices himself to help Seiya damage Rhadamanthys’ Surplice. Rhadamanthys’ final confrontation with Kanon occurs in the Fifth Prison. After Kanon relinquishes his Gold Cloth for the Gold Saints’ collective sacrifice, Rhadamanthys mocks his apparent weakness. Panic sets in when Kanon initiates a suicidal attack, grappling Rhadamanthys midair. Kanon’s self-destructive maneuver annihilates both combatants. In the spin-off *The Lost Canvas*, Rhadamanthys appears as a predecessor with a divergent history. He kills Leo Ilias, father of future Gold Saint Regulus, and battles Scorpio Kardia. Infused with Hades’ divine blood after this fight, he gains near-godly power. Regulus, however, extracts his heart during their duel, stripping away the divine energy. Realizing Hades’ current vessel, Alone, is compromised, Rhadamanthys attempts to kill him but disintegrates when Alone retaliates.
