This led him to temporarily oppose Athena's forces, commanding the Black Saints and stealing the Sagittarius Gold Cloth during the Galactic Wars tournament. He abandoned vengeance after defeat by Pegasus Seiya, Dragon Shiryu, Cygnus Hyoga, and his younger brother Andromeda Shun. Contrasting sharply with Shun's gentle nature, Ikki exhibits aggression, emotional detachment, and a preference for solitary action.
