Description
Emily O'Brien, alias "Emily the Spider," operates as the story's central antagonist. She infiltrates Area 51 under the fabricated identity of a scientist assigned to study the mysterious alien artifact known as the Original Metal. This cover conceals her true role as the leader of the all-female terrorist organization, the Bloody Angels. Her appearance features red hair and cyan eyes, deliberately presented with clumsiness and shyness during her covert mission.

The Bloody Angels target the nearly indestructible Original Metal, intending to process it using a specialized chemical reagent disguised as Emily's perfume into advanced weaponry for global sale. Posing as an investigator after the artifact's theft, Emily partners with Inspector Zenigata, pretending to assist his pursuit of Lupin III. Zenigata develops a paternal bond with her, viewing her as an earnest protégé.

Her meticulously crafted persona as an inept investigator masks her ruthlessness. This facade shatters during the climax on a remote island when the Bloody Angels ambush Lupin's group. After key subordinate Poison Sophie attempts to defect and expose the organization's goals to Lupin, Emily executes her. This act triggers Emily's full unmasking as the Bloody Angels' commander; she discards her glasses and modest attire for a revealing outfit—an Evil Costume Switch signifying her transformation into a hammy, psychologically unhinged leader. Zenigata experiences profound shock at this betrayal.

Defeated in the ensuing battle where Lupin's group overcomes her forces, Emily finds herself cornered and wounded with her escape ships sunk. She desperately negotiates with Lupin, offering him half the profits from selling the Original Metal. Lupin initially considers executing her for Sophie's death but shows mercy. As he turns away, Emily attempts to shoot him in the back with a concealed leg holster pistol. Lupin reacts instantly and kills her. Her demise leaves Zenigata mourning.

As leader of the Bloody Angels, Emily positioned its elite "Lucky Clovers" squad as dark counterparts to Lupin's team, serving herself as Zenigata's deceptive and dishonorable Evil Counterpart. Her primary motivation was financial gain, distinct from the ideological grievances of other members.
