Description
Dou Niu emerges as the primary antagonist of the Kowloon story arc, leading the Yellow Heads—a criminal organization embedded in Kowloon with ties to the vast Chi You Men syndicate. His central goal is capturing Yuanda Zhu for delivery to Lan Di, a high-ranking Chi You Men figure, seeking to curry favor and amplify his own criminal influence.

Physically imposing, Dou Niu stands 220 cm (7'2") tall and weighs 180 kg (396 lbs). He is bald, possesses brown eyes, and bears a distinctive wart on his forehead. His signature attire features a dark turquoise jacket with yellow and black accents, highlighted by a red, yellow, and gold Chinese demon design on the back. He completes his look with yellow, black, and gray wristbands, a bright red karate belt, dark turquoise pants, brown Chinese sandals, and often a gold chain necklace.

Significantly dim-witted and prone to volatile outbursts, Dou Niu is easily manipulated by rivals like Wuying Ren, who mocks him as "Stupid Dou Niu." Despite this lack of intelligence, he displays extreme arrogance, evidenced by stone busts of himself near his office and large framed portraits of himself and Yuan displayed prominently inside. He harbors an intense lust for power, specifically craving control over all of Kowloon, and maintains a fierce, unspecified rivalry with Ren's Heavens gang.

Yuan functions as his right-hand man within the Yellow Heads. Their relationship extends beyond professional partnership into a romantic one; Dou Niu openly expresses affection, calling Yuan his "cute little Yuan" or "cute love thing." This romance strongly implies a key factor in Yuan's high rank. Their dynamic shows Dou Niu heavily reliant on Yuan for strategic planning, frequently deferring to him to devise schemes, especially following setbacks.

In combat, Dou Niu wields immense brute strength, easily overpowering opponents like Ryo Hazuki and Ren individually in initial clashes. His fighting style is powerful yet slow, and he proves highly resistant to throws. However, he is outclassed by true martial arts masters; Xiuying Hong effortlessly knocks him out with a single move outside the Ghost Hall Building after he defeats Ryo. His pursuit of Ryo and Ren intensifies after they injure Yuan during their escape from the Dancing Dragon Building, culminating in a confrontation on the roof of the Yellow Head Building.

During the final rooftop battle, Dou Niu holds Wong hostage over the edge, threatening to drop him unless Ryo and Ren surrender. He boasts of his alliance with Lan Di and his ambition to rule Hong Kong. After Lan Di departs with Zhu following information extraction about Bailu Village, Dou Niu receives orders to eliminate the remaining witnesses. Enraged, he attacks Ryo. Initially overwhelming Ryo due to Ryo's anger clouding judgment, Dou Niu is ultimately defeated when Ryo achieves mental clarity. Ryo employs the Counter Elbow Assault technique, taught by Xiuying, exploiting Dou Niu's momentum against him. This defeat leaves Dou Niu incapacitated on the rooftop, failing his mission to secure Zhu for Lan Di and cement control over Kowloon.
