Description
Goro Mihashi is a Japanese character first seen as a delinquent operating in New Yokosuka Harbor District. Standing 180 cm tall, he has black hair styled in a Japanese pompadour and brown eyes. His typical outfit is a dark blue jean jacket, dark blue jeans, and black shoes, always worn with a distinctive purple t-shirt. Animated adaptations show this shirt featuring a large pink hand giving a thumbs-up alongside a gold star, differing from the game version which depicted a pompadour figure with the word "BAD".

Expelled from school after taking sole responsibility for his gang's fights with rival school gangs, Goro resorted to wandering the harbor and extorting money from workers, often starting confrontations with a headbutt. His life connects with Mai Sawano, whom he has known since childhood. After her father's death, he comforted her during her loneliness, leading to their relationship. This bond positively influenced Mai, though she continued stealing from her family's lunchbox business cash register.

A pivotal shift occurs when he attempts to rob a fisherman alongside Tetsuya Nagashima. Ryo Hazuki intervenes and defeats Goro, who, intimidated by Ryo's strength, subsequently changes his behavior. He begins addressing Ryo as "bro" and aids him by navigating the harbor, directing him to Warehouse #8 and advising nighttime entry due to reduced security. He further assists Ryo by securing him a forklift operator job at Alpha Trading Office, facilitated through Mai's connection to foreman Ryozo Yada.

Goro's background includes abandonment by his father, who left to buy cigarettes and never returned. This experience fosters empathy toward Ryo, who similarly lost his father, motivating Goro's supportive actions. Despite residual fears—such as reluctance to discuss the Mad Angels gang due to safety concerns—he demonstrates loyalty, helping rescue Nozomi Harasaki from hostage situations alongside Mai and Mark Kimberly.

His character evolves from delinquency to responsibility. He later works as a forklift operator and plans to marry Mai, with her sister Hisaka approving the union. He expresses aspirations to make Mai "the happiest girl on earth" and aims to build a family, humorously envisioning a baseball team composed of his future children. During Ryo's travels, their telephone conversations reveal Goro's stable employment and recognition of Ryo's legacy at the harbor for defeating the Mad Angels.
