Description
Based on the Heckler & Koch HK416 assault rifle, the Tactical Doll originally designated HKM4 was manufactured by IOP for Griffin & Kryuger. The rifle platform uses a short-stroke gas piston system, Picatinny rails, and a free-floating barrel, and has been adopted by military units including Norwegian forces, US special operations groups, and German special forces, with the M27 IAR variant partially replacing the M249 SAW in the US Marine Corps. HK416 served as a Griffin commander’s adjutant before temporary assignment to StateSec for Operation Butterfly. Placed in Squad 7 under AR M16A1, she displayed arrogance and belittled Support Squad 14 members UMP40 and UMP45. This led to M16A1 expelling her for disobeying orders and attacking a friendly unit. Her fire control core was removed, and Griffin erased records of her existence, including the memories of her sister model RF G28. Refusing her expulsion, HKM4 escaped transport and lived as a stray Doll, scavenging for batteries and discarded food. Unable to harm humans due to programming restrictions, she intervened to protect a child Doll from traffickers. UMP45 and UMP9 rescued her, and HKM4 agreed to work for UMP45 in exchange for the child’s safety. Outfitted with a black market fire control core and reprogrammed to bypass restrictions against harming humans, she adopted the designation HK416. After dismantling the trafficking ring, the child Doll was converted into the combat T-Doll AR G11. UMP45 then formally established Squad 404, with HK416 as a core member and primary assault specialist, possessing the highest combat specifications. Her relationship with UMP45 remains contentious; she begrudgingly respects UMP45’s authority but frequently criticizes her strategies, while UMP45 acknowledges HK416’s skills. HK416 voluntarily became G11’s guardian, though G11’s chronic laziness constantly frustrates her. She harbors a deep grudge against M16A1 and the AR Team, seeking to prove her superiority. During an early mission in Area S09, she tracked M16A1 but was swiftly overpowered and warned not to threaten other AR Team members. Her involvement in major operations includes replacing MG4 for a Griffin recon mission, destroying jammers during Plan Parapluie in Area S06 (where she was assigned as G11’s bodyguard), and evacuating the AR Team from Sangvis Ferri’s Jupiter Cannon test site during Operation Hypothermia. During this operation, she noticed UMP45 communicating with a Sangvis Ferri signal, sparking suspicions. Over time, her character evolves beyond vengeful motivations. Temporarily returning to Griffin during the Continuum Turbulence event prompts introspection, and she begins focusing more on her present and future within Squad 404, developing a stronger sense of justice and protecting her teammates. She is prone to German expletives such as “Dummkopf” and “Arschloch”. Later incarnations appear in other franchise media: in Project Neural Cloud, she is known as Clukay, and in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, she appears as Klukai. Visually, HK416 wears a purple German military-style top with a black-checked miniskirt and thigh-high socks, a KSK beret with black and red accents, and accessories including an iron cross hair clip, spare magazines, a combat knife, and a holstered handgun. She wields a customized HK416D10RS upper with a distinctive handguard mated to an HK416A5 lower, equipped with a Magpul MOE stock, vertical foregrip, EOTech EXPS3 optic, PEQ-15 laser, AAC M4-2000 suppressor, and Surefire scout light. Her combat abilities include the Anti-Personnel Grenade skill, dealing area damage within a 1.5-yard radius with damage scaling from six to fifteen times based on skill level. Her Neural Cloud enables hacking, digital mind interaction, and resurrection via data backups. Her exclusive equipment enhances grenade effects, causing secondary explosions on kills and inflicting damage over time and increased vulnerability on survivors. Regarding alcohol, a directive in the Griffin dorm store states “DO NOT Sell Liquor To HK416”. As Clukay, she displays knowledge of liquor but acknowledges being a “bad drunk”.
