Description
Shingo, a 12-year-old genius who skipped two grades, excels in mechanical engineering and technical problem-solving. He carries a screwdriver set and an exacto knife during the crash landing, tools crucial for survival. As the group's youngest member, he initially struggles with severe homesickness and emotional vulnerability. His technical skills prove vital immediately, attempting repairs on the shuttle's damaged communications system. Later, he designs and constructs essential survival infrastructure, including shelters and a functional shower system from available resources.
His mechanical aptitude extends to larger endeavors, notably assisting in building a boat for exploration and escape. Over time, his experiences on the planet foster greater resilience and adaptability, gradually easing his homesickness as he applies his skills for the group's benefit.
After rescue, Shingo pursues a career as a mechanic, inspired by Porte, the "Orion" space transport mechanic who mentored him. This path aligns with the strengths and interests he demonstrated throughout the survival period.
