Description
Bes Jordan, a Terran military officer from Earth, excelled as a top-performing cadet before his assignment to the Solo colony. Investigating the excavation of the Ideon under the mistaken belief it was unauthorized construction, he arrived just as the Buff Clan attacked. Jordan spearheaded the initial defense and witnessed the Ideon's activation firsthand.

After the Buff Clan devastated Solo's cities, Jordan assumed command of the Solo Ship, overseeing the survival of both civilian refugees and military personnel. Though he initially piloted the Ideon's Ideo-Nova component, he stepped aside upon recognizing younger individuals achieved greater control over the mecha. As captain, he maintained authority despite occasional clashes with crew members like Cosmo Yuki and Sheryl Formosa, earning widespread respect for his leadership. He demonstrated protective concern for the children aboard, particularly Ashura Novak and Deck Afta, advising them against perilous actions.

Jordan first encountered Karala Ajiba, a Buff Clan defector, during the initial Solo attack when he mistook her for a colonist. He felt an immediate connection and staunchly defended her presence on the Solo Ship against distrust stemming from her alien origins. Their bond deepened into a mutual romance, resulting in Karala's pregnancy with their child.

During the final battle against the Buff Clan, Jordan remained aboard the Solo Ship to combat invading troops rather than pilot the Ideon. He sustained gunshot wounds to the waist and neck, gradually bleeding out yet continuing to fight until he stood as the last living person on the bridge. He perished when the Buff Clan's Gando Rowa destroyed the Solo Ship.

Following the cataclysm, Jordan was spiritually reborn alongside Karala and their unborn child, Messiah. Messiah guided their souls and those of the deceased crew members towards a reborn Earth.
