Description
Mayaya Rau served as an attendant to Karala Ajiba, daughter of Buff Clan commander Doba Ajiba. She accompanied Karala on an unauthorized mission to the planet Solo, where Earth colonists had discovered ancient alien technology, including the Ideon mecha and Solo Ship. This mission directly defied orders from Buff Clan leadership.

During the Buff Clan's initial assault on Solo, Mayaya and Karala became separated from their forces. Mistaken for colonists in the chaos, they were taken aboard the Solo Ship by fleeing survivors. Their true identities as Buff Clan members were later uncovered, fueling deep distrust among the human refugees. Mayaya remained steadfastly loyal to Karala throughout their time on the Solo Ship, sharing her mistress's precarious status as an outsider under constant suspicion.

Mayaya's story ended abruptly due to violence from the colonists. In the television series, traumatized teenage refugee Banda Lotta attempted to kill Karala in retribution; Mayaya intervened to protect her and was killed. The film *The Ideon: A Contact* depicts Banda Lotta killing Mayaya directly during this attempt, while Karala survived.

Mayaya's death profoundly impacted Karala's path, intensifying her isolation and cementing her commitment to peace between the Buff Clan and humanity. It also symbolized the destructive cycle of vengeance driving the conflict, representing human retaliation for Buff Clan aggression.
