Description
Miyuki Takamachi's origins involve significant familial complexity. Born Miyuki Mikami, her name changed to Miyuki Fuwa after her biological mother, Misato Mikami, left her with Shiro Fuwa following a clover-emblem terrorist attack that killed most of their family, including her biological father. After Shiro married Momoko Takamachi, she became Miyuki Takamachi and was raised as a sister to Kyoya Takamachi (Shiro's biological son) and later Nanoha Takamachi (Shiro and Momoko's daughter). Though biologically Kyoya's cousin, Miyuki was regarded as his sister.

Her early life was marked by trauma, including Shiro's later death while working as a bodyguard. Shiro was killed by an assassin known as The Fan when Miyuki was five or six years old, an event that profoundly shaped her choice to train in swordsmanship despite other aspirations, driven by a sense of duty to protect others, mirroring Shiro's sacrifice.

Miyuki specializes in the Mikami-style twin kodachi sword arts, trained rigorously alongside Kyoya. Her combat skill is demonstrated when she single-handedly defeats an entire Special Duties Unit team during a protective assignment. Despite her exceptional ability, Miyuki dislikes fighting and avoids it unless necessary for protection, embodying a martial pacifist philosophy. She views combat as a responsibility rather than a passion, contrasting with Kyoya's career path in security forces.

Within the "Triangle Heart 3: Sweet Songs Forever" continuity, Miyuki and Kyoya are hired as bodyguards for their childhood friend, world-renowned singer Fiasse Crystela, targeted by the same terrorist organization responsible for their family's tragedies. This creates friction with Fiasse’s professional bodyguard, Ellis McGaren, who initially dismisses their traditional sword-based methods. Miyuki’s resolve is tested during a confrontation with the assassin Slicer, who severs her braid in a duel before she incapacitates him. Her commitment extends to accompanying Fiasse on a global tour.

In this game continuity, Miyuki confronts her biological mother, Misato, revealed to be infiltrating the terrorist organization. Their clash leads to Misato abandoning the group and reconciling with Miyuki and the Takamachi family, later working for the Hong Kong Defence Group.

Within the "Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha" continuity—a spin-off recontextualizing the Takamachi family—Miyuki is Nanoha’s biological older sister. She plays a minor role, often seen practicing sword techniques that Nanoha later observes to improve her own combat skills. Miyuki remains unaware of magic and interdimensional conflicts until the conclusion of the "A's" season. Later appearances in "StrikerS" and "ViVid" show her in familial contexts, such as discussing Nanoha’s past or receiving photos of her adopted niece Vivio.

Miyuki’s personal traits include a noted lack of culinary skill, referenced humorously in both continuities as "the worst cook in Midori-ya." She prefers reading and maintains a calm, dutiful demeanor. Her relationships are defined by deep loyalty, particularly to Kyoya, Fiasse, and Nanoha, reflecting her overarching motivation to shield loved ones from harm.
