Description
Arc-Dash began as the prototype Medabot Arcbeetle Dash, created by Dr. Maizu Zora at the Medabots Corporation alongside Tyrelbeetle. Judged too dangerous for public release, it remained inactive until Kilobots emerged, prompting Dr. Aki to complete it as a countermeasure. Metabee found its body extremely heavy and difficult to control during testing, leading to clumsy performance.
Arcbeetle Dash entered active service after Ginkai won both it and Tyrelbeetle in a tournament. Following Ginkai's betrayal of Kam and the destruction of his Kilobot Unitrix, Ginkai retrieved the buried Kabuto Medal of his former Medabot Bayonet. Installing this Medal into Arcbeetle Dash's body reconciled Ginkai with Bayonet's consciousness, and the Medabot was renamed "Arc-Dash," becoming Ginkai's primary partner.
Arc-Dash displays a stubborn, hot-tempered personality, often refusing orders yet showing fierce loyalty. Its personality mirrors Metabee's and includes access to the Medaforce via a rare Medal. A defining trait is its romantic affection for the Medabot Peppercat, leading it to unleash the Medaforce against Blakbeetle for damaging her.
In combat, Arc-Dash's capabilities feature:
- A head part classified as an "Appendix," differing from Arcbeetle's "Prominence" by using a Laser attack instead of a Beam attack. This Laser is weaker than Prominence but offers one additional use.
- Other parts generally weaker than Arcbeetle's, enabling a Vehicle-type Medachange into a car-like form with identical attacks. Later iterations upgrade this to a Flight-type Medachange featuring enhanced weaponry.
Key developmental milestones include:
- Combining with Tyrelbeetle to form Masterbeetle, overpowering the Kilobot Redrun before later losing to Gryphon.
- Participating in critical battles against the Death Medarot Company, leveraging its partnership with Ginkai and teamwork with other Medabots.
- Technical evolution across games, such as leg parts gaining "M Charger" or "B Loader" effects, and later classification as a Heavy part with adjusted limits.
