Description
Kam Kamazaki, known as Kokuryuu Kamizake in Japanese media, is the son of Shinsui Kamizake, president of Bacchus and a major investor in the Death Medarot Company. His mother's death when he was four profoundly impacted his emotional development. With his father frequently absent due to business commitments in the United States, Kam experienced a sheltered upbringing. His bodyguard and chauffeur, Uragasumi, served as the closest figure to a friend during this isolated childhood. The early loss and lack of parental connection fostered Kam's emotionally detached and cold-hearted demeanor.

As he matured, Kam became supervisor of the Death Medarot Company's research and development division. He crafted the operating systems for Death Medarot prototypes, becoming obsessed with creating powerful, ruthless robots devoid of emotions. His philosophy centered on the superiority of these Death Medarots over traditional Medarots, rejecting the significance of bonds between Medafighters and their robots. To test his prototypes, he recruited children like Ginkai, exploiting their frustrations or personal failures to align them with his vision. Kam maintained relationships through manipulation, often gifting Death Medarot hardware to secure loyalty while demanding absolute obedience from those he considered friends.

Kam viewed the strong partnership between Ikki Tenryou and Metabee as a direct challenge to his beliefs, leading him to persistently target them. He deployed multiple Death Medarots throughout his campaigns, with Blossomail, Blackbeetle, and Grain being the most prominent. During a Medarot Corporation tournament, he intervened using Blossomail to attack Metabee, disregarding Ginkai's pleas not to interfere. When Ginkai rebelled after Kam ordered Blossomail to destroy Metabee's Medal, Kam coldly warned Ginkai he would regret the betrayal. He later replaced Blossomail with Blackbeetle and intensified efforts to develop Grain, intending to transfer Blackbeetle's enhanced Death Medal into Grain's body despite knowing it would erase Blackbeetle's personality.

In the final confrontation, Kam activated Grain and commanded it to destroy Metabee and other Medarots. The battle escalated, endangering Kam's life. He was rescued by the very Medarots he sought to eliminate, including Blackbeetle, who temporarily gained control over Grain's body to protect him. This act of salvation fundamentally altered Kam's perspective. While recovering in the hospital, he reunited with Blackbeetle, who had returned to her original body. Uragasumi informed Kam that his father, unseen for years, would visit him. This series of events led Kam to abandon his pursuit of creating dangerous Death Medarots, opting instead to retain Blackbeetle with her personality intact. He subsequently formed friendships with Ikki and other children he had previously opposed.
